Grass Sweeper

A good grass sweeper is worth it's weight in gold if you are serious about a pretty yard. Who does not want a beautiful lawn? In my neighborhood all of us seem to be competing against each other for the best looking lawn. It's for that reason I have made a lot of purchases in an effort to beautify my yard. It's a serious hobby of mine and I don't mind spending the money. The cool thing is that you don't have to spend a ton to have a yard that is the envy of your neighborhood.

I'll tell you right now that I made a turning point when I bought a good grass sweeper. It has become one of my favorite gardening tools. There is nothing that makes me more angry than to spend some time cutting grass and making it all look good, only to have the wind kick up and blow stuff from my neighbors yard into mine.

Lawn Sweepers

I don't have a super huge yard so i went with the 42" width which happens to be the same width as the cutting blades on my lawnmower. My damper holds somewhere around 17 cubic feet of leaves and grass and it's real easy to dump. I can easily adjust the height of the brush.

There are a lot of grass sweepers out there but one of the features I really like is the ability for the wheels of the sweep to roll when I go in reverse on my lawn tractor. That will keep you from dumping everything into your yard because it's hard to turn it over.Some people call them lawn brooms and some call them a yard sweeper. I just call it a gorgeous yard.

Mine folds up and I store it in the corner of my garage. I bought mine through Amazon and the assembly of my grass sweep was super easy. If you have a bunch of small branches and twigs in your yard, you should definitely consider buying a lawn sweeper. i use to go out and hand rake all of that but it became too much of a chore. When the wind picks up it can scatter all of that all over your yard. I simply hook mine up behind my riding mower and in just a short time, I have a nice clean yard again and I go back inside to watch football. I just laugh when i look outside and some of my neighbors are still old school and using a rake. I'm smarter than they are.
