Google TV

By

Looks like Google has gone and done it again. Create something that will likely change the way we live our lives. Google has introduced Google TV. What is Google TV? From the looks of it, it will be a new and awesome way in which we watch TV and search the internet.

Google will make the way we watch TV much easier. How many of us have changed our TV viewing habits over the last few years? I certainly have. I watch a lot of my TV shows on the internet now and my iPod. It's so much more convenient for me and I watch my TV when I want to, not when they are on. I don't DVR my shows very much, I'm usually on the go. Personally, I'm pretty excited about what Google TV has in store for us.

Google TV Is Coming

I usually sit on my couch and watch TV while I have my laptop with me. I actually pay more attention to my laptop than what is happening on TV anyway. It's interactive and I control it. If you have a home entertainment center, how often have you said to yourself "I wish I could surf the internet on my widescreen while I sit here watching TV?" Google is doing for TV much what Apple did with Apple TV.

Google doesn't think we should have to choose between the internet and TV. Google thinks they should work together. Everything that you can do on the internet, you will soon be able to do on your TV. You will start seeing TV manufacturers build TV's with Google TV already built in. For those of us with older model TV's will be able to use a separate Google Box.

Here is how it will work. Your TV screen will sort of work like a web browser. You will be able to type into a search box for whatever you may be looking for. The screen will show you results just like your web browser. It will search the internet and your TV cable provider and also video sites like youtube. If you like something, you'll be able to add it to your home screen as a favorite. Imagine having the entire internet before you on your TV? Awesome! You will probably find many more uses for your TV since it will become interactive. I would also expect sales of wide screen TV's to increase. Just watch, Google TV will change how the world watches TV.
